Program
Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA), Taiwan's preeminent conservatory of the arts, offers a highly rigorous technical training for dancers interested in pursuing careers in performance. Ohio State dance majors have the option to enroll for the autumn semester at TNUA.
Locations
TNUA sits perched in the foothills of Yang Ming Shan National Park overlooking Taipei City in the near distance. Campus is a short metro ride away from all the cultural capital has to offer.
TNUA was established in 1982 with programs in music, fine arts and theater and the acclaimed department of dance was founded in 1983 under the distinct leadership of Chairperson Hwai-Min Lin, Artistic director of Cloud Gate Dance Theater. TNUA offers first rate education in the dance. Graduates are frequently employed by internationally renowned companies including Pina Bausch Tanztheater Wuppertal, Bill T. Jine/Arnie Zane Dance Company and the Jose Limon Dance Company.
Accommodations
Students live in shared residence halls. Meals can be taken at the cafeteria and cafes on campus.

In order to be eligible to apply for this program, students must be dance majors in good academic standing and meet OIA's General Eligibility Requirements and Conditions for Participation. All students will also be required to participate in on-campus pre-departure orientations organized by the Office of International Affairs.
Students may not graduate during the same term in which they are participating on a third party provider/direct enroll program.
Application instructions
Applicants are required to submit THREE applications:
1. Undergraduate Studies Committee in the Department of Dance application (available from the Dance Undergraduate Studies Chair)
2. OIA education abroad application (start at the "Apply Now" at the bottom or top of this page);
2. TNUA application.
IMPORTANT: All applications must be submitted by the Ohio State application deadline.
Passports
Passports are required for every Ohio State education abroad program. For many destinations, passport information is required to apply for an entry visa early as 6 months prior to departure. For information about apply for a passport, go to travel.state.gov.
