Responsibilities

Review health, safety and security data for countries and regions of OIA and non-OIA travel. Review program-specific activities, including excursions and field trips, cultural activities, community engagement and internship projects, and student research activities to help ensure that programs are in compliance with university and industry health, safety, and security standards.

Transformational Overseas Experience

My first time abroad was on an OIA faculty-led program, in 2019 I studied aboard on the “Berlin: People, Places, and Experiences” (now known as Global May Germany). I studied German in high school and here at Ohio State so was excited at the opportunity to get some “real world” speaking experience. Speaking with natives was a humbling experience but encouraged me to continue my German language studies here at Ohio State. After my month in Berlin, I fell in love with life abroad and have made it a goal to travel internationally on an annual basis. My faculty-led study abroad program was one of the best experiences and I LOVE having the opportunity to assist students and resident directors abroad to continue to give students these incredible experiences.
