Responsibilities

Plans, develops and administers the College of Education and Human Ecologyglobal education programs. Provides support services including program advising, scholarship and funding advising and resources, pre-departure orientation and health and safety information.

Transformational Overseas Experience

During the summer between my first and second year of undergrad, I had the opportunity to study language and culture in Lecce, Italy. I was met with incredible hospitality and patience from my host family, teachers and locals as I struggled to communicate and navigate life in a new country. This experience completely changed my undergraduate trajectory. Upon my return, I changed my academic focus to world language education and increasing cultural competencies, knowing I wanted to help others have eye-opening and meaningful global experiences. This ultimately led me to return to Italy after graduation to teach English to high schoolers, work on programs developing cultural competency in Central Ohio and return to Ohio State to help students find their own transformational experiences.
