Provides budgetary oversight for faculty-led global education programs. Provides support services, including program advising, scholarship and funding advising. Is the contact for a portfolio of programs.

Transformational Overseas Experience

I have a dear friend who I met while living in Washington, D.C., who was participating in a hospitality exchange (working at an American hotel). We bonded immediately because she is a Spanish teacher, and I was an English teacher. During the year she spent in the U.S., I helped her explore American culture, we made fall sweets, went to local festivals, watched American movies. After she went home to Ecuador, she invited me to first visit her hometown of Guayaquil, then crash her honeymoon to the Galapagos Islands, and we were able to do a role reversal! She taught me all about Ecuadorian food, history, and culture. Two years later, we met up in Peru to explore a culture that was new to both of us, together! Mutual curiosity and a desire to learn about the world around us can lead to impactful and enduring friendships.
